30 Day Challenge 4 of 30

Day 4 of 30 From a high angle

This is what I get to look at every day while I'm making his lunch! So impatient!
In other new, he took 3 steps on his own yesterday. Hopefully soon - a walker!

Day 2: What I wore

Today we went to Naha for the biggest tug of war in the world! I believe there were about 275,000 people there & I was so happy to get to see it up close this year. Two years ago, the first weekend we were on the island we went to the festival but didn't see a thing! Such a disapointment. This year we went w some friends & we all got to actually pull the rope too. I'm so happy we made it back there. It's always nice to see something from a new perspective. So today, this is what I wore: the baby in the Ergo. It got a little hairy there for awhile, in a crowd of 275,000. Luckily he never got too scared but this was pretty much the expression he had the whole time. haha

We were up North pretty late today & the last place we hit was Nakijin castle. Nakijin is amazing when the cherry blossoms are in bloom but unfortunately my parents missed that. It was still really beautiful & I was thrilled to be there during the golden hour to get some pics.

I love this shot. The baby has been having such a hard time since my parents have been here. I think it's a combination of teething, upset tummy & lack of naps. Either way he was so upset today he just couldn't settle himself. Nana finally put him to sleep w some firm pats on the back. I love seeing my parents in the background of this shot, while my mom holds his head.

I love these little socks. They were a gift for the boy from his Godmother when she went to Barcelona. They are so bright & colorful I've had all the kids wear them.

Don't be too disapointed. This picture was taken first thing in the morning & it was a pretty cloudy day but I loved this moment. The husband is such a great daddy & all the kids get such a kick out of him. The baby loves a little story w his O's.

joy of LOVE 23: facebook

Um, ok. This prompt... Well I didn't want to use an old picture from facebook since I'm trying to stick to the while 3-6-5 thing. And btw, way to go me, for day 54 & still a picture every day! So instead I stayed true to the cause & took a picture today. And I may even post it on facebook just so I can feel like I'm still playing along. I snapped this at the playground today while the baby has his afternoon sip of juice. Those feet crack me up.

joy of LOVE 10: space, where they feel most comfortable

Yeah, it probably took abt 2 seconds for me to think about this one. Where does the baby feel most comfortable? You guessed it. Mama's lap. The focal point didn't fall directly on his noggin & the side closest to our window is a bit overexposed but I don't mind.

Yeah, my ISO was probably a little high but the sun kept coming in & out of the clouds & I only had abt 10 minutes to take these so...

joy of LOVE 06: who THEY love

This probably sounds corny, or untrue(!) but frankly, they love each other. Yes, the bigs fight all the time. All the time. But they also help each other out. The girl gives unsolicited hugs to the boy & proclaims she will one day marry him. He picks up her toys or draws her a picture just to make her happy. The one absolute thing the bigs can agree on is how much they love the baby. They adore him. When I was pregnant they day dreamed of what he would be, what we would call him & what they would do for him. The boy kissed my stomach every day bf school & once the baby was born, started saying, "goodbye, I'll see you in 6 hours" when I'd drop him off. They entertain him, cuddle him, they make him laugh & love nothing more than laughing at him. They were never jealous when he was born & they never got upset when he cried or took up most of our attention. The baby adores the bigs. He has a constant two man show, an endless supply of kisses & his eyes light up whenever he sees them. I'm just bidding my time till he gets on their nerves & all three are fighting but for now, they love to love him. I love it too.

joy of LOVE 04: what they wear

I love these little booties for the baby, especially since these are hand me downs from the boy. It always makes me feel better when I can hand things down bc then I don't feel bad abt spending the extra money on quality stuff. This is the 3rd kid to wear these Robeeze so I'd say I got my money's worth!

Joy of LOVE day 02: How they look

Well this is the look I get most days. Pretty much every day. He can't stand for me to sit him down & walk away, even if I'm getting his food! So this is the face I get once I finally get back to him. Crocodile tears, nose pouring, but oh so happy mommy is back. I keep telling myself, it's only a phase, it's only a phase...

Little buddies.
These guys were born a month apart, almost to the day. They are so cute together & even though they aren't really 'playing' w each other it is so fun to watch them learn & explore w someone their own size. Usually they are grabbing for the same toy or kicking the other one in the face. Sometimes they chew on each others hands or pull the little bit of hair their buddy has. I wish we all had more time together so they could grow up & really know each other but sadly, we all move way too often!

I had been thinking abt trying to give the baby a bottle for awhile now. He is having some severe separation anxiety - way worse than any of my other kids - & I was thinking it may help him, uh, separate from me, for lack of a better term.
I was kind of nervous abt this. He is exclusively breast fed but I have introduced a cup. The last time we tried a bottle, a few months ago, he screamed like a demon!
Today I pumped & tested out the bottle & he took it like a champ!! It was awesome. He even held it himself the whole time! But of course, he was so cute doing it, I held him the whole time anyway. Sheesh, maybe I am the problem!

Some days it is so hard to choose just one picture. Today my plan was to get shots of some quirky Japanese clothes I bought the baby. But dang it, he is just so darn beautiful I had to choose this one. Thanks to Kathleen for keeping his attention & thanks to Courtney for those back button focusing tips. I can tell a big difference! PS, my husband has proclaimed he looks like he has a plastic chin. That isn't overboard editing skills, it's drool any mother would (probably) recognize.

Oops.
Ok, so the laptop is never in the dinning room. It just happened to be there today. Maybe I got distracted w editing or looking at all your fabulous 365 blogs. Either way, when he finally got my attention back, he looked like this. Yikes.

I couldn't post my picture yesterday bc I was having some problems w Flickr & Lightroom but it's all worked out now. I can assure you, this picture was taken yesterday as I'm still sitting in my pajamas & only two kids have eaten breakfast.
I love natural light in my house. Chances are, if it's dark outside it's dark in here too. I get a lot of teasing for that. ;) So anyway, I set up this shot w the baby to get him in the little bit of natural light we had in the house. After a second look, it appears pretty grainy. Is that just what I must deal w in low natural light settings? Could anyone give me some tips for reducing noise in LR?

This was also taken w the zoom I'm test driving so I can't go lower (number) w my aperture. I know my shutter speed was maxed out but...??
