I had been thinking abt trying to give the baby a bottle for awhile now. He is having some severe separation anxiety - way worse than any of my other kids - & I was thinking it may help him, uh, separate from me, for lack of a better term.
I was kind of nervous abt this. He is exclusively breast fed but I have introduced a cup. The last time we tried a bottle, a few months ago, he screamed like a demon!
Today I pumped & tested out the bottle & he took it like a champ!! It was awesome. He even held it himself the whole time! But of course, he was so cute doing it, I held him the whole time anyway. Sheesh, maybe I am the problem!

How old is he? Jackson NEVER took a bottle. . . though I only tried a few times :) Looks like he is enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteHe just turned 8 months this week!
ReplyDeleteHe looks like such a big little boy :O) I can't believe you held him the whole time he he you are the problem :O)
ReplyDeleteAhh...sometimes it's just so hard to put them down! He's adorable with that bottle!
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable picture! I was sad when my baby girl was out of the cute, let me hold her while she has a bottle, stage. :(
ReplyDeleteI've never tried to give my 10 month old a bottle. Hmm.... I'm glad your little guy did so well!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable and I love the angle. My daughter is one in four days and is actually weaning herself off of breastfeeding and I'm taking it harder than I thought I would. :( But I hope this helps him with his separation anxiety, we went through a mild case and I thought that was difficult.
ReplyDeleteI agree... I like the angle. Such an exciting day, especially with him holding it all by himself!
ReplyDeleteI started a Project 365 this year and have enjoyed following others for inspiration. Your site is one that has captured my attention, and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

LOL this made me laugh because I am the same way. Isn't it cute when they use their chubby little hands to do everyday things like hold a bottle?
