7/365

Today I got to test drive my friend's zoom lens. My only lens is a 35mm & I'm trying to decide what zoom to get. Any suggestions??
So since I was trying to work this lens we took the kids to the park, even tho the clouds looked ominous & it was getting pretty chilly.
The baby has been a bear lately. Let's blame teeth. But the fresh air always seems to make him happy so he will sit & play alone for quite awhile. I bought him this Anpan man rattle at the Japanese Toys R Us & it's just the perfect size for his little hands. Anpan man, btw, is a hugely popular Japanese cartoon character, whose head is made of bread & filled w red bean paste!!

I think you will do well with a zoom lens, whichever one you choose.

  4. I love the angle, and I also love Japanese toys. My camera came with a 35mm/3.5 lens. I recently purchased a 50mm/1.8 and so far I am enjoying it! :)

  6. Love his tiny finger investigate the little toy.
I have my "kit" zoom 55-200, it works well for me. However, I am toying with the idea of getting a 2x teleconverter which would make it a 110 - 400. That should be awesome for birding.

  7. Don't forget that with a teleconverter that you can lose a stop or 2...so that f/5.6 turns into a f/8.0 or f/11.0

  10. Japanese? I'm guessing that's where you all are? How long? Do you like it?

  11. Yes, we are in Japan! We really like it but we're also anxious to get back home. It's one of those things where you want to be two places at once. We have a couple more years here.
