I don't follow a lot of blogs but one I do try & catch is Life's Ambrosia. I love the recipes & the food photography is awesome too! Her slow cooker pulled pork is my go to recipe bc from one roast I can also make her enchiladas & her bbq pulled pork sandwiches! For Christmas I made her chocolate mint truffles & they were a big hit! Tonight I made Buffalo Chipotle Chili & it was my first time ever using these chipotle peppers! When I opened the can they smelled SO good I had to taste the sauce so I put one tiny fingertip on the can lid & took a taste. It took abt 3 seconds for me to go into a coughing spell that had me flinging the fridge door open & chugging the carton of milk! Yikes! These babies are HOT! The recipe only calls for two but this chili is so good, the boy proclaimed me the 'best chef he knows' & we all had two bowls! The baby even ate some beans out of my bowl! This will definitely be added to my monthly (winter) meal rotation.

  4. The buffalo chili sounds amazing! How is buffalo? I think i've only had it as jerky. Life's ambrosia sounds like a great blog, can't wait to really look into it. I like that she's part Filipina. :) I love food blogs! Do you like any other ones? Have you seen pioneerwoman? I'm obsessed with her. although she cooks with insane amounts of butter. hehe. anyway, sorry for the lengthy comment. :)

  6. I rarely do a recipe of hers that doesn't turn out well. @Janell, actually I had to use bison bc they don't sell buffalo here. I think they are pretty much the same thing but I can't tell the difference in taste (even compared to ground beef). I don't follow PW but probably bc everyone loves her & I'm a little anti-establishment. hehe

  7. I'm adding those peppers to my grocery list. My husband loves things that are so hot you wish your lips would fall off. Great picture & backstory.

  8. They really were so nice & smokey! I didn't add in that they don't actually sell them here! A friend of mine had her dad bring her several cans & she was nice enough to let me have one. I froze the rest of the can but I'm going to have to find them online bc they are great!
